Today is April 6th, 2006. Ten years ago, my younger brother, Matt, was killed in a senseless car accident. He was 16 years old. He may not cross my mind as often as he should but not a day goes by where I don’t miss him. It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years already. In some ways, it feels longer than that. In others, it seems like it was just yesterday.
I often wonder where he’d be if he was alive today. I certainly know he would be married. He likely would even have a couple of kids. Wherever he might have ended up, I’m sure he would have made my family proud. But we’ll never know due to one person’s stupid mistake. At least I know he’s in a better place right now.
2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
