Karaoke

Filed under: General — Jesse @ 8:44 pm

My neighbor has been “singing” karaoke for at least the last half hour. He’s quite good and I think he should send in an audition tape for the next season of American Idol. This dude could be the next William Hung.

10 Years

Filed under: General — Jesse @ 2:23 pm

Today is April 6th, 2006. Ten years ago, my younger brother, Matt, was killed in a senseless car accident. He was 16 years old. He may not cross my mind as often as he should but not a day goes by where I don’t miss him. It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years already. In some ways, it feels longer than that. In others, it seems like it was just yesterday.

I often wonder where he’d be if he was alive today. I certainly know he would be married. He likely would even have a couple of kids. Wherever he might have ended up, I’m sure he would have made my family proud. But we’ll never know due to one person’s stupid mistake. At least I know he’s in a better place right now.

2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Observation

Filed under: General — Jesse @ 3:21 am

I was reminded tonight of how life has a funny way of following a peak with a valley, and vice versa. At one point this evening, my confidence level was as high as it had been in quite some time. That lasted for all of a half hour, at which point it was beaten right back down to a below normal level, which is where it stands now. Interesting, indeed.
